Glamorous Pair of Art Deco Period Murano Floor Torchieres
Triple banded glass design of a deep bronze and gilded bronze color at
top,
center and base. Ribbed glass design repeated on each lamp.
Domed Bases with a Patina finish and ribbed brass design.
Open Torchiere glass shade of opague glass with very fine bubbles,
typical of Murano Glass, that will illuminate beautifully.
Colorless, bubbled glass form the twisted center posts
on these wonderful torchieres.

Black/Gold trim around "stem" 12" diameter
Glass "stem" 9 1/2' diameter

Barovier & Toso
History:
A popular glass furnace during the 20th century that produced many
important and collectable designs,
including Intarsio and Barbarico.
They now specialize in large-scale lighting projects,
but still
produce some vases.
The Barovier family’s involvement with glass can
be traced back to the fifteenth century.
The museum at the factory
in Murano has a must-see collection.
Most Barovier pieces are not
signed.
Condition: In very
good original condition.
Will be re-wired upon purchase.
