French Art Deco Murano Modernist
Chandelier
Circa late 1930's, France

Unique and Glamorous chandelier,
featuring 6, tapered, curled, Murano glass scrolls
that extend from the center post and wrap around the polished
nickel, circular, tubular frame.
Three additional Murano glass scrolls are displayed at the top of
the chandelier,
extending from the flared post design. The center down rod also
features clear glass spheres.
The bottom of the chandelier is a
stepped disc with a round finial.
Six arms are topped with round, flared, white opaque glass shades.
The arms also wrap around the circular chandelier frame.
Flared ceiling canopy that can be suspended from a chain for
installation on a cathedral ceiling.
Dimensions: 35 3/8" diameter. Glass
Shades are 9" in diameter. Canopy 5 1/2" diameter.
32" high overall as shown, chain and a new canopy can be easily
added for higher ceiling requirements.
Downrods are 5 1/2" high between
the glass spheres and the adjustment ring below the flared canopy.
This can be added to or cut down if needed, (for an additional fee).
Condition: In very good restored
condition. (July 2009) Re-plated in polished nickel, rewired for the
USA.
Uses medium based bulbs, shown with 40 watt clear sphere shaped
bulbs.
