Period Chandelier
Circa 1930's, France 
Dramatic Grand Art Deco period
chandelier in a rare and hard to find size.
Rectangular shaped, rounded body with mitered corners with eight
scrolled arms.
Ideal for a large rectangular dining table, conference table or
Kitchen Island.
Polished Nickel body, adjustable,
tubular down rods and flared rectangular canopy,
with polished brass band accents on sides and corner seams.
Lower light panel features a frosted glass panel framed in polished
brass.
The top is open to allow for easy
bulb changing and for heat to escape.
The inside of the chandelier body has been painted white for ideal
light reflection.
This fixture offers excellent light. We suggest installing with a
dimmer.
The arms can be topped with custom
shades, glass shades, or left with bare bulbs.
(shades of any sort are not included-one photo below shows with a
white opal glass shade as an example only)
Dimensions: 45" Wide, 25" deep
overall. 24 3/4" high as shown.
Height note: The two, 13 1/2" high, round tubular down rods have a
5" adjustment and can also be cut down or extended if needed. You
may also suspend the canopy to a chain if you desire to use this
with
a cathedral ceiling rather than flush mounting it to a flat ceiling.
The arms extend 4 7/8" from body (and are included in the overall
dimension listed above.)
Canopy: 5 1/2" high, 24" wide, 18" deep at top.
Condition: In excellent restored
condition (July 2010)
Re-plated in polished nickel, interior painted white, re-wired for
the USA.
Uses medium based bulbs, shown with 40 watt clear sphere shaped
bulbs.
The brass has been lacquered to retain the polished appearance.
