French Art Deco

Very elegant and
rare early French Art Deco chandelier.
Shown in original condition, ready for restoration in your choice of
metal finish.
Solid cast brass or bronze sculptural frame, with 6 arms,
that have a gathered draped design and are topped with 6 molded
glass shades
that have a wine/grape theme on a overall crosshatched basket weave
pattern,
with a bottom ribbed design that flows into the brass arm frame.

Clearly, the shades were made for the frame
when the overall design was created.
The tapered center post is created with 18 clear glass rods
and is topped with a decorative beaded brass cap.
Above the cap you will see the ceiling canopy,
as this was last used with a low ceiling.
A chain was intended in between, to hang this chandelier at the
height needed,
can be used with either a flat or cathedral ceiling.
Dimensions: 33”
wide, with 8” diameter glass shades.
As Shown: 30” high with fixture and canopy.
Fixture alone is 26” high.
Canopy is 6” in diameter.
