French Art Deco Petitot Modernist Chandelier
Circa 1930's, France

 

Very Rare and Fine Pentagon shaped glass rod chandelier by Petitot.
Restored polished nickel frame with frosted glass bottom panel and all sides
in individual clear glass rods. Subtle details on the corners of the frame,
beaded detail on the bottom and fluted and fan details on the downrods as well as the decorated canopy.

 A very elegant and unusual fixture, acting as a piece of jewelry in the room as it REALLY sparkles!

Dimensions: 22 1/2 " diameter. Height of glass rod body: 6" high.
Overall height as shown: 43 " high. 36" high body.

This chandelier can be suspended from a cathedral ceiling from a chain for higher ceilings.

Canopy diameter: 5 3/4 " diameter.

Condition: In good original condition. Original finish and wiring.
Can be polished or plated and re-wired. Glass can be changed to frosted on the bottom panel.
