Art Deco Frankart designed
'Three
Saints or Three Graces' Ash-stands or planters / centerpieces.

These make gorgeous Art
Deco Centerpieces
!
Ideal for Art Deco themed weddings,
special occasions or your everyday dining table.
These reproduction ash-stands or centerpieces are custom
made for us,
using the original 1920’s
molds employed by Frankenberg himself.
They are available in a Satin black, Glossy Frankart
Green or custom polished aluminum finish,
with a removable ceramic bowl and stepped marble
and metal base.
You
may choose Black, pink or yellow ceramic bowls.
Marble base and centerpieces custom color options are available for multiple orders,
should you wish to co-ordinate with your wedding or special occasion colors.
Our 'Three Graces' centerpieces are exact
reproductions,
cast from original Art Deco period designs from the 1920’s,
designed by Artist Sculptor, Arthur Von Frankenberg, who became the founder of
Frankart Inc.
Because of the height and weight, they are
elegant and functional as centerpieces,
allowing for discussion without a cumbersome centerpiece to see around.
The
weight keeps the
piece from tipping or blowing over, even in an outdoor situation.
You can
embellish these easily with a few simple flowers or greenery.
Consider these for your Art Deco wedding,
as centerpieces for the reception dining tables
and then gift them to your Bridal attendants or family members to take home as a memento.
We recently used the Frankart Green version in the daughter's room we
decorated for
ABC's Extreme Makeover; Home Edition
(episode # 404, the Bliven Family, taped in August 2006)
This was displayed next to her Art Deco Vanity with short white roses.
You may also use this for a planter, potpourri or as a candy dish.
Create your own fabulous
centerpiece by arranging a floral or greenery design
in the removable bowl instead of using as an
ashtray...

Historical significance
The Frankart designs play an important part in the history of modern art and
design. Art Deco, or Modernism, was the forefront of Modern design, as we know
it today.
Frankenberg wanted to create functional, affordable art for everyone’s budget.
His designs featured sculptural nymph figures, posed as decorative accents or
supports for various objects. Frankenberg prided himself on creating
decorative objects that were also highly functional, such as lamps, bookends,
vase stands and ash stands.
From 1926 to 1934, less than 100 designs were patented. After only 10 years in
production, Frankart closed its doors, one of the victims of the Great
Depression. Sadly, many of the original molds were melted down as scrap. A few
designs were later discovered and reproduced with great accuracy, offering a
variety of finishes and colors to choose from, in addition to the original
colors that Frankart produced. His designs are highly recognizable and are a
symbol of Art Deco design, even to this day.
The original patent for this design was granted on April 8th, 1930.
