French Art Deco Figural Equestrian Statue
Circa 1930's, Limousin, France

Wonderful Figural bronze sculpture depicting two ladies hunting on horseback.
One lady has a horn of bakelite, the other, a polished bronze bow.
The polished bronze horses are leaping, the ladies have the wind in their hair.
The polished bronze ladies ladies are wearing flowing scarves and dresses,
painted in the classic pale green colors used in the 1930's.
This sculpture displays a wonderful, carefree movement.

Incised signature on the black marble base: Limousin, which is a beautiful region in France,
known for artists who created in metal, ceramics and glassware. Artist unknown,
but in the manner of Charles, who loved equestrian themes.

Condition: In excellent original condition, showing little paint wear. Patina intact.
