French Art Deco period silvered
metal statue, depicting a young woman, kneeling on a
decorative pillow with tassels. She is nude, draped with a long
fabric that is being pulled off her
from behind, where a mischievous bulldog is pulling the draped
fabric off her. She has a twenties
era hairstyle and the dog is wearing a ruffled collar like that of a
clown. Great attention to detail,
and signed on the backside of the pillow, ' J. Salvado' . Mounted on
the original base with
multiple marbles and onyx pieces: grey/white marble top , black
porto marble center accent
and beige onyx front & sides and a tan onyx back.
A medium sized sculpture, ideal for
a ladies vanity, small buffet, console table or sofa table.
Dimensions: 15" wide, 9 5/8" high, 4
1/2" deep.
Condition: The statue is in
excellent original condition.
The onyx and marble base has very minor chips on 2 of the corners.
