Signed, sculptural coffee and Tea
pot, of solid sterling silver, handcrafted by Mexican silversmith /

scale coffee and tea pot, with graceful scrolled lid decoration and
carnelian inset in 2 places on each of the handles. Sleek and
modern, suitable to mix with Art Deco, Mid-Century or Contemporary
decors. Both pots have a nice weight to them. It is a wonderful
example of early modernist Mexican silver from the Spratling era.
Juventino Lopez Reyes is a well known Mexican silversmith. JLR is
highly sought after for his superb designs and quality workmanship
among silver collectors. He worked at Maciel and opened his own
workshop "Plateria del Recero" in 1935.
