French Art Deco Barometer
Circa 1920's, France

 

Elegant French Art Deco Barometer, hand carved wood with gesso, finished in 24 kt yellow and 12 kt white gold.

Tapered top design with a shooting star at the top, with stylized cubist roses and a geometric pattern, 
framing the round Bronze barometer. Mercury temperate scale above, with curled decorative end.

Signed on back of wood: initial Logo HR? in circle, Moderna, Varoue Depose.
Signed on back of metal: Lufft

Dimensions: 22" high, 11" wide at bottom, 2 1/2" projection.

Condition: In excellent restored condition.
