French Art Deco Bedroom Suite
Armoire with matching Queen Size Bed
Circa 1920's, France

(European) Queen side bed with headboard, footboard and side rails.
You may use an American Queen size bed with this is you forgo using the
siderails
and attach the headboard and footboard directly to your metal bedframe.
Beautiful French Art Deco
Armoire with cross hatched veneer pattern in Rosewood and Mahogany.
Center mirrored door, with adjustable interior shelf with 2 drawers.
Both pieces feature a Center inlay with a stylized floral medallion that
has mother of pearl accents.
Please Note: The armoire is pictured below, shown prior to
restoration.
This piece has been restored and now matches the bed shown here with a deep rich
Rosewood stain
and high gloss French Lacquered finish..
However, we are awaiting the hardware (also being refinished) to assemble and
photo this piece.
New updated photos of the armoire will be shown soon.

Dimensions:
Armoire: 5'4' Wide, 6' 9" High, 17 3/4" Deep.
Bed Dimensions : 59" wide overall.
Headboard: 54" high at center. Footboard, 31" high at center.
Inside bed frame dimensions: 57" wide. 75" long
(add 2 1/2" where notches are at headboard & footboard
where they meet the siderails).
Finished veneer design on headboard starts at 28 1/4" high off the
floor.
(The area below is covered by mattress and box spring.)
Side Rails: 74 3/4" long, 10 5/8" high off the floor when attached to
frame. rail itself is 3 3/4" high.
As traditional American mattress sizes go, a Full size is 54" wide and
75" long.
A Queen size is 60" wide and 80" long.
If you wish to use a Queen size mattress, you can easily attach the
headboard and footboard
to your metal bed frame, and forgo using the siderails ( which would be
too short).
Other options include buying a European mattress or have a custom
mattress set made.
Condition: In very
good to excellent restored condition (October 2008) with a high gloss
French lacquered finish. Bottom panel inside of Armoire was replaced.
Some inlay and veneer chips were repaired during this restoration.
