French Art Deco Eglomise
Mirrored Pedestals or Floor Lamps, Pair
Possibly Serge Roche
Circa late 1930’s, early 1940’s, France

The ultimate in Glamour!
Wonderful Pair of tall aged Mirrored pedestals or floor lamps.
We believe these were once floor lamps, as there was a hole in the top wood
panel, possibly for a wiring post.
This can easily be converted back into floor lamps.
Aged, smokey mirrors with scalloped ‘pie crust’ carved edges.
Reverse painted gilded decoration, ‘eglomise’.
Wood top and curved base.
One pedestal has the mirrored decoration on all four sides, the second has
only 3 sides.
Since this will likely face a wall, it is not an issue.
*Please note, there is no
horizontal line in the mirror, this is just a reflection.
The background aging is consistent on all mirrors.
Overall Dimensions: 59”
high, top wood surface: 10” square.
Space for statue: 9 ½” square. Base 13 ½” square.
Mirrored sections: 7 ½” wide at top, tapering to 3” wide at bottom.52 5/8”
high.
Condition: In very good
original condition. Mirrors are in very good shape.
The bases have been stabilized. The second pedestal has now had the
4th side replaced with clear mirror.
