furniture and interior designer Jules Leleu
This rare suite
features:
A matching French Art Deco Sideboard, Vitrine and Dining Table.
All pieces are crafted of African Rosewood and elaborate marquetry work
and inlays of exotic woods and mother-of-pearl.
Black Lacquer trim with polished nickel plated (over bronze) hardware and keys.
Figural animal and floral inlays are highlighted on the columns
with marquetry and mother of pearl dots on the doors.
Restored with a high gloss French Lacquered Finish.

Art Deco Sideboard / Server / Credenza by Jules Leleu :

Rare French Art Deco
Credenza / Sideboard with elaborate marquetry inlay work,
featuring butterflies, acorns, squirrels and flowers on the side columns.
Elaborate cross hatched
marquetry work on the lower doors with framed inlaid mother of pearl dot
pattern.
Inlay work stands out beautifully from the rich mahogany and rosewood
background.
Architectural profile on
the raised base, with nickel plated trim details and keys.
Black Lacquered trim frames top and base.
Beautifully constructed
and a lower height than many period sideboards,
this piece will stand out in any room.

This stunning low height
vitrine was skillfully crafted with elaborate marquetry inlay work,
featuring butterflies,
acorns, squirrels and flowers on the side columns.
Elaborate cross hatched marquetry work on the lower doors
with framed inlaid mother of pearl dot pattern.
Architectural profile on the raised base, with nickel plated trim details.
Created by noted furniture and
Interior Designer, Jules Leleu.
Polished nickel plated bronze trim.
Just
restored with a Rosewood stain and a high gloss French Lacquered finish.
Beautifully constructed with an upper glass front display with by-pass glass
doors
(not shown in above photo, see photos below)
mirrored interior to display china or collectables. Lower storage, ideal for
dishes or table linens.
Black Lacquered trim frames display area, top
and base.
Could also be used as a dessert cabinet, toiletries cabinet or bookcase.
Can be used in an entry way as a high console.
Lower doors feature a
interlocking design when closing,
so that the doors do not warp over time.

French Art Deco Dining
Table, also suitable as a desk.
Rosewood with black lacquered post on base, and polished nickel accents.
Inlay border on top, mother of pearl dots at each corner.
Ends pull out for leaf support and feature drawers, ideal for tablecloths.
This table design was previously sold at Sothebys Auction,
attributing this design to Leleu. Please email for reference photos.

Riser can be added easily to increase height if so requested.
Base: 24 Ύ high, 24 wide, 46 5/8 long.
Condition: This suite is
in excellent restored condition (June - August 2008).
High gloss French Lacquered finish.
All hardware has been re-plated in polished nickel.
