Vintage Moderne Dining or Occasional Chairs
Set of 4 chairs, in the manner of Jean Royere
Circa 1940’s, probably France

 

Unusual set of regal looking armchairs with the original red and gold upholstery.
Black painted metal frame with brass sphere finial at top of the backs,
feet tips and decorative medallion on base.
Twisted metal stretcher across the arched legs.
Similar to many of the designs by Jean Royere.
Padded armrests. Upholstered seat cushion and back stretcher.
Great as dining chairs or as occasional chairs in a seating group
that can give you the option of extra dining chairs.

Note the twisted rope trim on the upholstery, to match the brass trim on the chair frames.
Of course these chairs can be used as found, or re-upholstered to suit your décor.

Dimensions: 25 ½” wide, 32” high back.
Seat: 19” high, 19” wide, 17” deep.

Condition: In very good original condition.
