French Art Deco Dining Chairs by Dugay, set of 6
Circa 1915-early 1920’s, France

Early transitional design between Craftsman and Art Deco.
Sleek exotic macassar ebony trim and delicate hand carved oak
in an organic pattern mix the best of both design worlds. Delicate Leaf and acorn details
that were clearly hand carved by a highly skilled craftsman.

Set of six chairs with hand carved leaf and acorn design,
on a stepped, skyscraper profile. Brass foot detail. Original brown vinyl
upholstery with brass nailhead trim.

Dimensions: 34 ¾” high back. 16 ½” deep overall. 18 ¾” wide at front,
15 ½” wide at back. Seat 19” high, 14 ¾” deep.

Condition: In very good original condition with light restoration and polishing.

Oak table top has a hand carved edge design on all four sides, with rounded corners.
The base is hand carved oak with macassar ebony side panels. Delicate leaves and
acorns are repeated on each base, front and back.
The design is remembered on the tabletop edge design.
