French Art Deco Style
Goatskin / Parchment Covered Daybed
In the manner of Andre Arbus
Circa 20th Century, France

This is a fabulous
vintage version
of the famous ultra luxurious daybed created by Andre Arbus in the 1920’s.
As the size of the mattress is near the size of a twin,
this can actually be used as a single bed, ideal in a guest room , den or
office.
The body of the daybed appears to have been made in the mid 20th Century
and the goatskin replaced/added later in
it's life, as it is in excellent condition.
Solid wood carved base is completely covered in square panels of beige goatskin.
The sweeping frame design has a Egyptian feel to it, also resembling
elephant tusks!
New Custom Mattress and bolster cushions are upholstered in a beige ultra
suede.
The covers all unzip for cleaning.
The mattress has a new board underneath to support the angular custom
mattress.
Dimensions: 107” wide, 45 ½”
deep, ends are 23 ½” high.
18” seat height (cushion).
Condition: In excellent
restored condition.
