Huge French Art Deco Collector's Cabinet
Custom made to display and store a large toy train collection
Optional Uses: Bookcase / Display Cabinet / China Cabinet / Entertainment Cabinet
Circa Late 20th Century, France

Huge Streamline Art Deco Style custom cabinet,
made of exotic Macassar Ebony, a wood species favored by Ruhlmann in the 1930's.
Over 10 feet wide!
Curved profile ends and radius design is repeated on the top cabinet.
Solid Brass hardware that has been re-plated in highly polished chrome.
Adjustable glass shelves on a polished chrome track with matching chrome Modernist shelf supports.
Optional sliding glass doors can be used.
Recently refinished in a high gloss clear lacquer finish.
Back panels of the open display are faux finished
and could easily be lighted and mirrored for a more dramatic display.

Provenance:
This Art Deco Style Cabinet was originally made in France, for a fan of  Streamline Art Deco
who was also a collector of antique and vintage toy trains.
He would display a portion of his toy train collection on the glass shelves
and store his remaining collection in the 45 drawers below,
and rotate the collection on display from time to time.

Below the adjustable glass shelves, and just above each of the 5 banks of ( 9) drawers,
is a full size, macassar ebony pull out shelf.
These were used to set up his display while re-arranging his collection.

It is possible to retro fit the drawer depths.

Of course this grand cabinet can be used to display a variety of items or collections;
Radios, Jewelry, Pottery and china, shells, comic books...whatever your passion.
Adjust the shelves just right and you may use this for a LCD or Plasma TV and your audio equipment.

Overall: 10' 8" Wide, 7' high.
Base Unit: 10'8" wide, 21 1/2" Deep,  33 1/2" High. 
Top Shelving cabinet 15" Deep.
Drawers Measure (Inside):  2 3/8" Deep, 22 1/2" Wide, 18" Deep.

Condition: Excellent.
Recently restored with a high gloss clear Lacquered Finish.
All Hardware had been re-plated in Polished Chrome and is perfect. 
Original Glass shelves are included.
New Glass Sliding doors are also included but not shown.
Lighting can be easily added to this unit for a additional fee if so desired,
