Macassar Ebony & Black Lacquered

Beautiful French Art Deco credenza
wrapped in exotic Macassar Ebony.
Modernist designed polished nickel hardware that feature a circle
and sphere detail.
Black Lacquered trim frames the marble top and end posts, which are
rounded.
Original, black marble top with white veining. Raised Plynth base.
The center bank appears to be 4
drawers, but is actually a single top drawer
and a lower cabinet
that has a single door that looks like the 3 lower drawer fronts.
Inside this center cabinet is one shelf. Original keys for both left
and right cabinet doors.
Very high quality construction and a
very heavy piece.
A versatile piece, this sideboard
can be used in your dining room as a server,
in your foyer or living
room under a fabulous painting or mirror, in your family room,
office or bedroom under a flat screen TV or in an office for use as
a credenza.
Dimensions:
Overall: 87" wide, 39" high, 21 1/2" deep.
Center cabinet; interior dimensions: 16 1/2" wide, 19" deep, 22 1/4"
high.
Single top drawer - interior measures: 15" wide, 19" deep front to
back, 6" high.
Left and Right cabinets: Interior of
each measures:
27" wide at door opening/ 33 1/4" wide inside.
29 7/8" high, 16"
deep at ends-curving outward at door center to 19" deep.
Each side
cabinet features 2 semi-fixed shelves. They have brass self supports
that can be moved if needed. Currently they are installed giving 9
1/4" or 9 1/2" spacing between each shelf.
Condition: In excellent restored
condition (July 2009) with a French Lacquered finish.
Clear finish
over the Macassar Ebony veneers and fresh black lacquered finish on
top border.
All original brass hardware has been re-plated in
polished nickel.
The original marble top has been professionally
polished.
