French Art Deco Macassar Ebony

Beautiful French Art Deco credenza
wrapped in exotic Macassar Ebony with very decorative,
polished nickel hardware on both doors and curved drawer fronts.
Black Lacquered trim frames the
marble top. Very Rare Original, exotic marble top with unusual
coloration: Deep Brown (almost black)
field with thin white veins and wider terra-cotta colored veining.
Curved front profile and radius
corners add to the multi-dimensional design of this elegant
sideboard.

Center glass display with 1 glass
shelf, mirrored back and birds eye maple interior. 3 drawers below.
Raised Plynth base. Original keys for all 3 doors. Very high quality
construction and a very heavy piece.
The inside of the doors are also veneered with birds eye maple, to
match the interior of the center
glass cabinet. Interior backing is solid oak.
A versatile piece, this sideboard
can be used in your dining room as a server, in your foyer or living
room under a fabulous painting or mirror, in your family room,
office or bedroom under a flat screen
TV or in an office for use as a credenza.
Dimensions:
Overall: 87 3/8" wide, 39 3/4" high, 21 3/4" deep at columns/ 20
5/8" deep at center.
Center glass cabinet; interior dimensions: 26 1/8" wide, 18 1/2"
deep, 16 3/8" high.
3 drawers interior of each drawer measures: 18 1/4" deep front to
back, 25 1/4" wide, 3 3/8" high.
Left and Right cabinets each feature
2 adjustable shelves. Interior of each measures:
24" wide at door opening/ 29" wide
inside. 31 7/8" high, 14 3/4" deep at ends-curving outward at door
center
to 19" deep. Overall you can expect a 27" wide depth of 18", making
this suitable for most audio components.
Condition: In excellent restored
condition (July 2009) with a French Lacquered finish. Clear finish
over
the Macassar Ebony veneers and fresh black lacquered finish on top
border. All original brass hardware
has been re-plated in polished nickel and the glass shelf for the
center cabinet is new. Mirrored backing
and glass door are original. The original marble top has been
professionally repaired and highly polished.
