French Art Deco Grand

Grand Scale Sideboard of
an exotic cut of rare Macassar Ebony.
Solid brushed bronze Circular door hardware with glass front,
lighted china and glassware display. Curved leg profile on front and sides.
Note the glass inserts at the side of the top cabinet…they illuminate!
Lower key locking cabinets offer ample storage for dishes and flatware.
Original black opaline glass top and glass front cabinet, both framed in
bronze.
Right side cabinet has a special safe style lock and has 7 finished drawers;
4 of which have been fitted for silver ware and serving pieces.
3 drawers are empty for storage of cloth napkins & tablecloths.
Beautifully finished, this
superb quality cabinet
may have been a custom commission. Designer unknown,
surely to have been designed by one of the great furniture designers of the
period.
Dimensions: 106” wide with side legs; cabinet itself is 101 ¼” wide.
47” high overall, 24” deep overall with legs. Cabinet 21 ½” deep.
Glass Display 53 3/8” wide, 15 ½” high, 16” deep.
Left and right side cabinets are 23” wide overall.
Condition: In excellent
restored (July 2008) condition;
with a high gloss French Lacquered finish.
Bronze hardware has also been lacquered.
The original black opaline (glass) top has corner chips, (see photos below)
and age appropriate wear. This can be filled in or you may replace
this top with a black absolute granite top.
