French Art Deco China

Circa 1930's, France

This stunning low height
vitrine was skillfully crafted with elaborate marquetry inlay work,
featuring butterflies,
acorns, squirrels and flowers on the side columns.
Elaborate cross hatched marquetry work on the lower doors
with framed inlaid mother of pearl dot pattern.
Architectural profile on the raised base, with nickel plated trim details.
Created by noted furniture and
Interior Designer, Jules Leleu.
Polished nickel plated bronze trim.
Just
restored with a Rosewood stain and a high gloss French Lacquered finish.
Beautifully constructed with an upper glass front display with by-pass glass
doors
(not shown in above photo, see photos below)
mirrored interior to display china or collectables. Lower storage, ideal for
dishes or table linens.
Black Lacquered trim frames display area, top
and base.
Could also be used as a dessert cabinet, toiletries cabinet or bookcase.
Can be used in an entry way as a high console.
Lower doors feature a
interlocking design when closing,
so that the doors do not warp over time.
Dimensions: 44” wide, 51”
high, 16” deep.
Condition: In excellent
restored condition. ( May 2008)
New French lacquered finish, new glass, all hardware re-plated in polished
nickel.
