Fine Antique Biedermeier Secretary Meticulously crafted of rich dark cherry wood with ebonized and gilded
decorative accents. Architectural pediment top, Column style posts with bronze
caps. The entire cabinet is key locking.
This
writing cabinet offers ample storage: Two drawers above the drop front writing
desk, 3 drawers below. The interior is beautifully fitted with small drawers,
a decorated central compartment and a slide out writing surface with a place for
a leather inset. (not included)

Art Nouveau Partner's Desk with Large matching Glass front Bookcase /Display Cabinet Circa 1900, France


This rare and important office suite
was made by Louis Majorelle, considered to be the master of Art Nouveau Furniture.
Documented in the
Majorelle book by Alastair Duncan on page 182, the above photo was from the original Majorelle catalog
(showing the single version of the desk - we had the larger,
partner's version) Hand Carved Solid Mahogany in original condition. Transitional design with Pine Cone motif.
Partners desk is identical on each side, the original leather top, with gilded edge decoration. In superb condition, protected by a beveled edge glass top. desk cabinets feature adjustable shelf and inside drawer,
center Pencil drawer and left and right drawers above key locking
lower cabinets.
Glass front bookcase with triple beveled glass door, separated by
carved wood columns Interior is fitted with adjustable shelves.
In true French fashion, Both pieces dis-assemble completely for easy moving and set up.
