Antique Biedermeier Secretary / Bookcase

Beautiful Biedermeier period secretary cabinet with upper bookcase cabinet.
Cherry and Ebony over Oak with gilded accents and key locking features.
Very functional with numerous storage areas and hidden compartments.

The geometric design of this piece would be a beautiful compliment
in an Art Deco or Contemporary interior.

Secretary has a fully closing leather topped desktop, which when opens,
extends out for additional desktop space.
Several small drawers and hidden side compartments,
lower drawers and upper bookcase offer ample storage.

Note the sliding tambour door at the architectural designed top
and the hidden shelf area in the knee space back, which is also key-locking.

Overall Dimensions: 86” high, 48” wide, 23 ½” deep with desktop closed.

Glass front Bookcase is 13 ½” deep with 10” deep shelves.
Desktop: 32 ½” high, 42 1/8” wide.

Condition: In very good condition with expected restorations over the years.
Recently French Polished.
