Art Deco Pair of Grand Iron Entry Doors
with matching 18' balcony railing, Signed
Circa 1920's, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Wonderful, stately pair of huge entry doors with glass inserts.
Although shown with a space above, these doors close as a pair for a grand entryway.
10'-6" Tall and 8' wide when closed!

Hand wrought forged iron doors with solid panels that have been textured in a linear and hammered finish.
Lower panel has a stacked design with subtle art deco profile/details.
Hand wrought open scrollwork and geometric designs,
typical of the 1925 French Art Deco influence of the Paris Exposition.

Each door is backed with a (optional use) separate iron frame that holds a glass panel.
You may use any type of glass backing, or none at all, depending on your installation.
Signature plaques on each door from the artisan that created these grand works of art.

Matching open balcony railing, also in a grand scale; 18' long.
The open scrollwork and geometric designs from the set of doors is repeated on the railing.
The stepped, textured hand rail repeats the textures and subtle design on the door panel bottoms.
Shown in original condition, with the green paint and patina intact,
imagine these restored to their original glory, either with a polished iron finish
or sandblasted and re-painted in the color of your choice.

During the 1920's and the 1930's many Art Deco designs were taken to South America
and were collected by the affluent there. This set of doors and railing was clearly a custom commission
for a very grand home in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The construction quality is top notch
and the ironwork design is well executed. The doors are EXTREMELY heavy and vault-like.

They will require special attention and installation by an expert who will know the proper hinges
and locks to use, also, how to properly frame doors of this substance.
