Circa 1920’s, France
Classic French Art Deco hand wrought and hand hammered
wrought iron standing fire screen.
Clear beveled glass cover, framed in detailed iron design.
The corners feature a ‘potato peel” rosette that was made famous by Edgar
Brandt.
This rosette has a detailed texture and is framed by leaves.
Wavy lines and scrolls on the top and sides compliment the corner design.
Dimensions: 29 ½” high, 23 ½” wide, foot is 8 ¾ ” deep, ¾” wide.
Glass measures 20” wide, 26 ¼” high, 2” off the floor.
Condition: In very good condition,
I believe this has had some restoration to the finish in previous years.
