St. Regis Hotel Beau Arts Style
Elevator Door Panels
4 door panels available
Circa 1904, New York
Elegant Polished iron door
panels, previously used as the hallway elevator lift doors
at
the St. Regis Hotel
in New York City.
During a past renovation the
iron doors were removed and replaced with new solid brass panel
doors,
as you see pictured below. They have etched the design
of the original doors on the new doors to maintain the authentic
pattern used on the iron doors we are offering.

This timeless Beau Arts floral
decorative design is created in iron and was polished to create
a soft, satin finish.
You may elect to use them as shown, or have them painted to suit
your decor, as the St. Regis had done.
Created from hand wrought and cast iron, currently back with
frosted (plexi) glass panels,
you may back these with clear or frosted glass, wood or solid
metal.
Open oval design is perfect to place initials or a family crest
on the backing, framed by this beautiful design.
Use these as entry doors, sidelights, a decorative wall insert,
or hinge and attach panels together to create a room divider
screen.

The St. Regis Hotel opened in
1904 by the Astor family.
The Beau Arts beauty flourished with
the vision of Colonel John Jacob Astor IV,
whose life was
tragically taken when the Titanic sank in 1912.
Caroline, "Lady"
Astor took over the hotel and created a magical hotel that has
carried on for over 100 years.
The St. Regis has hosted many a
grand occasion and been home to actress Marlene Dietrich
and
artist Salvador Dali. The New York location carries on today,
and the St. Regis name has expanded to international status with
locations in Singapore, London, San Francisco, Rome and Bali.

and use them with glass, wood or
solid metal panels to suit your decor. These panels were

she also used, that was restored with a finish to complement
these doors.
