Art Deco Style Lighted Plaster Palm Trees, Pair
From the Sunset Towers poolside,
formerly the St. James Club and Argyle Hotel
Circa 1980’s, custom made in a limited number for the hotel.

 

Bold sculptural Palm Trees with underlit palm fronds.

In the manner of glamorous Dorothy Draper Decors of the 1930's and 40's.
Imagine these in your  Art Deco Home Theater !
They can be painted to suit your decor.

Removed from the Hotel a few years ago when the new owner took over
and remodeled the entire hotel.

Dimensions: 8’8” high (104”) 4’ 6” wide at top, base 21” wide, 14 ½” deep.

Condition: In as found condition, in need of complete restoration.
As these were removed, bits and pieces of the plaster were damaged.
We suggest repairing these once in place with a plaster compound that can be sculpted.
Rewiring also recommended.

Please note: these trees are heavy and require crating for transport.
They also must be securely fastened when installed, they are not free standing.
