Spectacular.... and huge !
Three graceful leaping gazelles are centered on a sculptural background of
forest with dripping wisteria flowers, tree trunks and foliage.
Thanks to the
growing efforts of historical preservation organizations,
such as
the Art Deco Societies of the world,
finding architectural items
such as this triptych are a rare opportunity.
Restored and ready to install. Sculptured plaster
with horsehair, over a metal frame.
Three panels, each with pre-made mounting holes for fastening to a wall.
Matching screw head covers are included so the fasteners blend with the panels.
History / Provenance : Removed from a beautiful Art
Deco Movie Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This was one of the decorative ventilation covers for the rooms that held the
radiators.
There are only 2 sets of these panels in existence.
One set was sold in 2005, this set is from our personal collection.
This actual item is Pictured and highlighted in
Judith Miller's 2007 Antique Guide Book on page 629.
Dimensions: 12 ' 2 " wide, Overall.
End curved panels are 6 Feet high, Center panel is 7 Feet high.

Condition: Restored with an aged plaster finish.
